Accessibility Statement
This is the accessibility statement of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, welcome!
This accessibility statement, prepared/updated on 25 August 2020, applies to the service https://merijakalatalous.fi/.
We have conducted a self-assessment of the accessibility of our service.
Accessibility status of the digital service
Partially compliant with the accessibility requirements
Non-accessible content
3. The website is not yet fully compliant with the requirements
-
Finding: Some heading levels are missing
Non-accessible content and its defects
In the website structure the heading levels are not always in the right order. The incorrect order and missing heading levels are partly due to the fact that they cannot be modified without a more comprehensive overhaul of the website together with the service provider. Heading levels may also be missing because they have an impact on the size and colour of the text and sometimes heading levels in their right order could impair the readability of the text. This defect will be remedied in connection with the comprehensive overhaul of the website for the next programming period.
Accessibility requirements that are not met
- 1.3.1 Information and relationships
-
Finding: Contrast is not always strong enough
Non-accessible content and its defects
The contrast of the website content is sometimes too low. However, the contrast can be improved by clicking the button on the left-hand side of the page. This defect will be remedied in connection with the comprehensive overhaul of the website for the next programming period.
Accessibility requirements that are not met
- 1.4.3 Contrast (minimum)
-
Finding: Line spacing of the text is sometimes too narrow
Non-accessible content and its defects
In most parts of the website line spacing follows the recommendations, but in some places it is less than the required 1.5. This defect will be remedied in connection with the comprehensive overhaul of the website for the next programming period.
Accessibility requirements that are not met
- 1.4.12 Text spacing
2. Disproportionate burden
Website content with attachments is for the most part accessible. Defects are small and do not concern the whole website. The website will be renewed and the accessibility of the theme will be improved when the new programme is launched in 2021–2022. A more comprehensive overhaul of the website before that is not possible due to the limited resources and the fact that the current programming period (2014–2020) is coming to an end.
